Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate – Wilkes Barre, PA

An excellent elementary school in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area is weeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a current position opening. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs while working within a collaborative and student-focused team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and goals

• Provide direct instruction and academic interventions in both inclusive and resource settings

• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success

• Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification (or eligibility)

• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

• Experience developing and implementing IEPs preferred
