School Nurse LPN

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a 6th-grade student at a middle school in the Hanover, PA area.

This is a full-time school-based position during the current school year. The nurse will accompany and support the student throughout the school day, providing individualized nursing care while helping the student safely participate in classroom activities and the school environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to an assigned 6th-grade student throughout the school day

• Monitor the student’s health and respond appropriately to medical needs

• Provide individualized care during classroom hours and other school activities

• Assist with G-tube care and related medical needs as required

• Follow the student’s established care plan and physician orders

• Maintain accurate nursing documentation

• Communicate effectively with school staff, the student’s family, and other members of the care team

• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania LPN license

• Previous pediatric, school-based, home health, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred

• Experience with G-tube and/or vented G-tube care strongly preferred

• Comfortable working independently in a school setting

• Dependable, attentive, and able to build a positive relationship with the student and school team

• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred

Position Details

• Monday through Friday during the school calendar

• Approximately 8:10 AM–3:15 PM

• Approximately 35–37.5 hours per week

• Dedicated 1:1 assignment with one middle school student

• Consistent daytime schedule with no nights or weekends
