CCU Coronary Care Unit RN
Role Overview
The Critical Care RN provides high-acuity nursing care within the CCU, adhering to Title 22, CMS, and The Joint Commission standards. This position MUST be willing to float to PCU, CCU, and MS Tele!
Core Responsibilities
- Patient Management: Adhere to 1:1 patient criteria, classification systems, and CCU staffing guidelines.
- Efficiency: Organize work and prioritize tasks to meet time-sensitive parameters in a high-activity environment.
- Support: Assist with clerical duties or unlicensed assistive personnel tasks as needed within the scope of practice.
- Compliance: Maintain current knowledge of CCU security, visitation policies, and hospital quality improvement guidelines.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of acute care nursing experience. Min 1 Year Travel Experience Required.
- Licensure: Active California RN License.
- Certifications:

ACLS, BLS and NIHSS Required

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in hospital information technologies and electronic health records.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Must be able to work under stressful and emotionally demanding conditions.
- Ability to accept an increased workload during high-census or emergency situations.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous chemicals, and radiation; strict adherence to safety protocols is required.
