We are seeking an expert Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. This position is designed for a seasoned clinician with specific expertise in high-acuity cardiac cases and robotic-assisted surgery. You will play a critical role in maintaining the sterile field, managing advanced surgical technology, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes during complex cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Surgical Excellence: Provide expert nursing care within the CVOR, specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
• Robotic Surgery: Utilize Da Vinci XI surgical systems to assist in minimally invasive robotic-assisted cases.
• Intraoperative Management: Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams to manage patient safety, instrumentation, and emergency protocols during cardiac surgery.
• Clinical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert for acute care surgical standards and cardiovascular best practices.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Format: Five 8-hour day shifts per week (40 hours total).
• Standard Hours: Shifts vary between 06:30 – 15:00 and 10:45 – 19:00.
• Days: Monday through Friday.

On-Call Requirements

• Frequency: 2–3 days per week (determined by experience level and case volume).
• Weekends: Mandatory on-call rotation every other weekend, including call-back responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of CVOR experience is required.
  • Direct experience with the Da Vinci XI robotic platform is mandatory.
  • Previous background in an acute care hospital environment.
• Licensure: Active and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) are required.
