With the growth of recruiting channels, job complexity and candidate diversity, recruiters face greater competition to identify and hire talent. Sourcing qualified candidates takes time that may not be available, especially when a client needs a position filled immediately. Implementing candidate database matching is one solution to the problem.
Semantic technology can analyze which positions successful candidates worked in before their current position to determine which candidates with similar backgrounds also may be successful. Also, semantic technology makes it possible to search all candidate data and job data in one place, even if a company uses multiple systems.
Improved Hiring Process
You can holistically evaluate a significant amount of candidate data, including metrics such as industries, companies, job titles, skills experiences and certifications, and compare them to the job description. You also can evaluate candidate fit based on past hiring data, preferences on successful candidates, salary levels and other company metrics. This type of big data recruiting method scores and presents top candidates with the greatest probabilities of succeeding in the role, speeding up your hiring process and increasing fill rates.
Hire by Google
The new applicant tracking system Hire by Google is an automated sourcing tool that employers can use to match a current database of applicants when a job opening is posted. This candidate discovery tool intuitively uses Google’s search technology to find qualified candidates across resumes and candidate profiles inside an individual Hire account; then generates a short list of past candidates who fit with open roles. The system lets recruiters screen resumes with smart keyword highlighting based on search criteria and reengage qualified candidates in bulk. The technology creates a prioritized list based on how well a candidate’s profile matches the job title, description, and location. The individuals are emailed with an introduction and interview request. For instance, beta testers OpenLogix and Titmouse quickly filled open positions by using Hire by Google. Until recently, many candidates were not being accessed by those companies because there was no easy way to search for them. In addition, OpenLogix filled one of its positions within 24 hours, much shorter than the average of four weeks it typically takes.
